His son, George Bennett Whitcomb, was married to Meda Ella Shepperd. Her parents and five siblings followed the young couple to Glendora. Memorabilia from Clifton B. Shoemaker, wife Mary Arbeely. He was a Glendora realtor, well traveled, and trained in animal husbandry and animal diseases. His wife was a niece of Mrs. L. M. La Fetra. Their son was in the U.S. Foreign Service in Switzerland after the war, around 1947. The son, Clifton B. Jr died at about forty.

SMITH FAMILY - Documents
Polly Smith Daugherty, wife of Emmett Daugherty, is the only one identified in the photo of the Smith family. She wrote the story of the Old Settlers of the East San Gabriel Valley that's in Kloepfner's manuscript in the Azusa library. The men are not identified.
